“Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power.” – Lao Tzu
DISCIPLINE
My view at the gym today. “Discipline” when mastered becomes a super power that helps us break through the limitations that the world places on us and the ones we place on ourselves. Today, be determined to master discipline. Stay focused. Stay hungry.

“At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: “I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?” - Marcus Aurelius

Never Give Up!
Success is created through the performance of a few small daily disciplines that stack up over time to produce achievements far beyond anything you could of ever planned for. Failure, on the other hand, is just as easy to slip into. Failure’s is nothing more than the inevitable outcome of a few small acts of daily neglect performed consistently over time so that they take you past the point of no return.” – Robin Sharma
LET'S GOOOOO!!!!
NOW & THEN
Impressive what hard work and consistency can birth. Watching Curry play today, one can’t imagine that he was ever looked at as a “weak finisher.” For him that assessment might have been valid when he was still a teenager, but through hard work and consistency over the years he’s built himself up to be a 3 x NBA Champion, 2xMVP and 6x All Star athlete! Never giving up and staying the course made all the difference. Word to consider today… If Curry can do it, so can you— focus on your goals, stay consistent and never give up.

SWEAT PALS
Getting that work out in can be hard. We’ve all been there. That alarm clock goes off and the last thing you want to do is roll out of bed and hit the gym. That’s why having a “sweat pal” comes in handy. With a sweat pal, you can motivate each other to meet at the gym. You can encourage each other to get that extra rep in. It always helps to know someone else is in the fray with you. So what are you waiting for, dial up a friend and get to it!
HARD WORK
COR927 FITNESS alum, Yesi, is getting her core work out in at the gym! Way to go. this is a great reminder, your core is an important part of the body to work on and build up. A weak core will almost always lead to injuries, but with a strong core, you are more agile and grounded strength-wise.

SMASHING FITNESS GOALS
Sometimes getting to our ideal weight goal is not always easy. But persistence is key. The Before and After picture above (of my brother Dr. Wole) says it all. Going from 275 pounds to 195 pounds within a year isn’t an easy feat. Wole found that the carnivore diet helped him burn the stubborn fat that he had been carrying all these years. By eliminating simple and complex carbs, he found that his body became fat burning machine. Seeing his results inspired me to also take on this lifestyle. For years I bought into the false notion that I’m bound to be heavy all of my life, that I am just “big boned” but the truth of the matter was, my way of eating was not helping my body type. I believe there are a lot of us out there who have bought into this idea of “being born this way.” That is why I’m passionate about sharing advice, training, and even my own personal journey of getting fit both physically and mentally with our COR927 FITNESS family.
